Theo Pinson NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-6 - Shooting Guard - North Carolina (HS)

An elite level prospect who posses great skill level combined with good length and athleticism. Should be a one and done player for the Tar Heels.

Pros
Has ideal size for the NBA shooting guard position. His long arms and good hops let him play above the rim with ease. Has a very high skill level and a sweet looking jumper. Shows a high release point and rarely gets his shot blocked.

Can score from anywhere on the court: accurate from three point range, very good in the mid range and on runners in the lane. A very good dunker who uses his quickness well to get to the rim.

Pinson has very good court vision and is a willing passer. Has good basketball IQ and is very fundamentally sound with a good handle. Plays solid defense and uses his length well to disrupt the passing lanes.

Cons
Is slight of build and will always be a skinny player. Could struggle guarding in the post until he adds strength.

Projection: lottery to mid first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft
