Antonio Blakeney NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-4 - Shooting Guard - LSU

Blakeney is a pure scorer who can get buckets in a hurry. Very aggressive at getting to the rim.

Pros
A SG who can score from all three levels (and can handle well enough to run the point). Blakeney is always a threat to score the ball and puts a ton of pressure on the defense.

A very lethal three point shooter. Can put points on the board in bunches. Uses head fakes and the hesitation dribble well to get defenders off balance and blow by them. Really tough to guard one on one.

Has good athleticism and top level quickness. Very good off the dribble and can really handle the rock. Can get into the lane at will and does a nice job of keeping his head up and finding teammates.

Cons
Lacks ideal SG size and is not an overpowering athlete.

Needs to improve his shot selection now that he's not the best player on the court at all times.

Too turnover prone and has a very poor assist to turnover ratio.

Projection: possible second round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft
