Pope has an intriguing size/skill combination with potential to be a high level scorer at the next level. Saw limited playing time as a freshman but has enough upside to warrant a mid first round selection.
At 6-10, with long arms and a sweet shooting stroke, Pope has the size and skill level to play in the NBA. His shooting form and accuracy are unique for a player his size and he projects as a scoring, combo forward, along the lines of a Chandler Parsons.
Pope handles the ball well and is more than just a spot up shooter. Can get to the rim and will continue to improve his after-contact scoring as he gains strength and experience.
Has the tools to be a solid defender and rebounder. Decent shot blocker for a stretch forward.
Is very raw and might take a few years to make his mark in the NBA. Will have to add a lot of strength to compete at the next level.
Despite being a good three point shooter, he is below average from the foul line. Should improve in time.
Has a history of injuries which could be a concern.
Reminds of Austin Daye.
Projection: second round pick in the 2017 or 2018 NBA Draft
