Grayson Allen NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-5 - Shooting Guard - Duke

A talented, feisty and intelligent player with a will to win.

Pros
Plays with a lot of passion and fire. Doesn't lack for confidence and steps up in big moments.

Has a quick first step, good handles and an attacking mentality. Puts a lot of pressure on defenses with the dribble-drive and can also light it up from outside. Is really improved at getting to the rim and can drive with either hand. An efficient player.

Sees the floor well and excels at drawing the defense then finding the open man.

An excellent free throw shooter who hits a high percentage and knows how to get to the line.

Locks it up on defense. Plays with great energy and leadership.

Cons
Isn't a true high riser or elite level athlete and could be outmatched by some NBA wings.

Doesn't have ideal size for the SG position.

Comparisons
A poor man's Brandon Roy. Bob Sura.

Projection: late first to early second round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft
