Wendell Carter Jr. NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-9 - Power Forward - GA

A powerful post player with a quick first step and great touch around the rim.

Pros
A force on the low block who knows how to score around the basket and has a soft touch. Very powerful for a young player and has good suddenness and a quick first step.

Has advanced post moves for a young player and can also face up and, either hit the jumper or take his man off the bounce.

Can play above the rim and has good length. Is a force as a rebounder and interior defender.

Cons
Needs to get into top shape and develop his frame.

Is still improving as a shooter and needs to gain consistency, both from the floor and from the foul line.

Comparisons
Reminds of Al Horford with his post skills and face up game. If he continues to grow, could end up like DeMarcus Cousins.

Projection: lottery pick in the 2018 NBA Draft
