Cassius Stanley NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-6 - Shooting Guard - CA

An elite level athlete with huge upside, who can jump through the roof.

Pros
A beast of an athlete. Stanley can fly out of the gym and has a ton of power. He could go down as one of the best dunkers of all time. His burst and insane bounce are unmatched at the high school level.

Has all the tools to develop into a complete player and is putting in work to round out his game. Is becoming a more disciplined defender and his athletic ability gives him a clear advantage over most opponents.

Sees the floor well and has a great feel for one-hand passes off the dribble. Uses his quickness to get into the land and draw defenders, then finds the open man. Has much improved handles.

Has nice elevation and form on his shot. Can hit all sorts of turnaround and step-back jumpers, using his elite athletic ability to get room, or just rise over opponents.

Plays to win. Has good competitive fire and seems to have a drive to be one of the greats.

Cons
Has yet to become a consistent three point shooter - but has the tools to make it happen.

Can be reckless driving into the lane and needs to learn not over drive. Needs to tighten up his handles and work on his left hand.

Is old for his class, born in 1999.

Comparisons
He's like a stronger Zach LaVine.

Projection: top 5 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft
