Overview
Penn-Johnson is a unique basketball player who has elite physical tools but very little experience. At this point he's all about upside, projecting a few years down the road to how good he can be. He shows flashes of big time potential and it'll be fun to watch him develop his game.

Strengths
Penn-Johnson has incredible length and an insane standing reach, allowing him to make plays above the rim that other players can't make. On top of that he's a bouncy athlete who has some quick twitch muscle and good reaction time. He's got great upside as a rebounder and rim protector and shows flashes of big time shot blocking ability. His 9-8 standing reach allows him to alter shots without leaving his feet and when he does decide to go up for the block he can explode off the floor quickly and surprise the shooter with his quick bounce.

His offensive game isn't as far along as his defense but he's got the right tools. He's got good hands, making him a threat for the lob pass and on put backs on the offensive glass. He's got a decent touch around the basket, is showing some promising post moves and a mid range game that has potential.

For an inexperienced ball player he shows good awareness of space and situation. He reacts well to the double team in the post, moving the ball quickly or making his move. He's not someone you'd call a coach on the floor but he seems to know his role and know how to play the game.

Runs the floor well and has overall good mobility for a 7-footer.

A late bloomer who is just scratching the surface of his immense potential.

Weaknesses
He's an extremely raw prospect who is just starting to put it together on the court and has a long ways to go to reach his potential. He can lack focus and doesn't always play with a good motor.

Lacks a go-to post move and doesn't have the best footwork in the post.

Has a thin lower body that lacks strength. Will need to get stronger and learn to play with better leverage.
