Overview
David McCormack is a powerful center with a man's body and an old school game. He projects as a 2 or 3 year player for the Jayhawks and a possible late first to mid second round pick after he develops his game in Lawrence, KS.

Strengths
  • Has grown man size and a lot of natural strength
  • Can hold space in the lane and does a good job of cleaning the defensive glass
  • Has decent quickness and hops for a big bodied center
  • Knows his role and does the dirty work
  • Plays within team concepts and has a good feel for the game
  • Can defend in the lane and at the rim, using his brute strength and good length
Weaknesses
  • His game is better suited for the old NBA, when back to the basket players had more value
  • Doesn't have a great skill level and isn't a great ball handler or jump shooter
Comparisons
  • Deyonta Davis
  • Arnett Moultrie
Projection: late first to mid second round pick in the 2019 or 2020 NBA Draft
