Overview
Wigginton is a compact, strong and fearless PG who is a big time shot-maker and aggressive scorer - but needs to refine his point guard skills. He's got the upside to become a solid NBA player but needs to cut down on the turnovers and become more efficient on offense.

Strengths
  • An excellent athlete with terrific speed and a lot of bounce
  • Has a strong frame - can absorb contact and plays bigger than his size
  • Dynamic with the ball in his hands - can break the defender down with the dribble and can penetrate to score
  • Draws a lot of fouls with his slashing style of play
  • An excellent three point marksman
  • A gamer, a leader and a fierce competitor with a will to win
  • Has excellent work ethic and a drive to be great - has all the intangibles
  • A stout defender who really gets after it on D
  • Rebounds well for a guard
Weaknesses
  • Doesn't always take good shots and needs to get more efficient shooting the ball
  • A poor free throw shooter (below 70%), which is a big negative for a primary ball handler
  • Turnover prone and has a poor assist to turnover ratio of about 1 to 1
  • Lacks ideal length
  • Can be foul prone - needs to make better decisions about when to be aggressive
Comparisons
  • George Hill
  • Cory Joseph
Projection: mid first to early second round pick in the 2018 or 2019 NBA Draft
